Sierra gets her TD

On Nov. 1st, in Lansing Michigan, Andrea Jackson's German Shorthair Sierra passed her Tracking Dog Test to get her TD title.

October NADAC Trial Results

Wow! What a fun weekend members of the MBDTC had over in Vancleave, MS at the Gulf Coast Chihuahua's NADAC Trial. This was a first time event for many club members and we had a ball!

Here are the reports and comments:

Lisa Jones and Cinnie (Aussie)

**Cinnie q'd in 3 with first in novice std, 2nd in touch 'n go and 2nd in jumpers and really had a good time despite the humidity and wind on Friday.

Heather Dickinson and:
Poet (Aussie),Hadley (Eng Setter),Dice (Eng Setter),Ellie Mae (Border Collie)

**I sure do enjoy NADAC as well. The dogs and I ran 34 runs between Saturday and Sunday, and we ended up with 20 Q's LOL!!!!

Hadley Q'd 6 out of 8 runs including finishing his Open Jumpers title, getting the first leg of his Open Tunnelers, getting 2 legs in Elite Regular, and 2 legs in Novice Hoopers.

Poet Q'd 3 out of 4 runs picking up an Elite Jumpers and 2 Novice Hoopers legs.

Ellie
Q'd 8 out of 11 runs including 2 Q's in Novice Regular to complete that title yesterday, moved up today to Open and got her 1st Open Regular leg, got her 2nd Novice Tunnelers leg, 1st Novice Jumpers leg, 1st Novice Weavers leg, and two Novice Hoopers legs.

Dicey Q'd 3 out of 11 runs including Q'ing in Open Regular Saturday which finished that title, and he got 2 Q's in Novice Hoopers today.

My first best weekend hi-lite was in today's Novice Hoopers round 1, all my dogs were in skilled 16" with 10 dogs in the class, and after the results were tallied Poet got 1st, Ellie got 2nd, and Dicey got 3rd :-) If only Hadley would have got 4th we would have swept the ribbons in that class :-)

Second best weekend hi-lite was Hadley Q'ing all 4 of his runs yesterday, with 2 in Elite and 2 in Open, and finishing a title, which was probably his best agility day ever.

Third hi-lite was Ellie running so nice for me for a baby dog, and having such a great time doing it!! Huge congrats to all from MBDTC. It was great seeing everyone run and with so much success!!!!!

Debra Meinhardt and Ginger and Dallas (Border Collies)

**We had a blast at the NADAC trial! Ginger & Dallas were really ready to play and wore my old legs off running at top speed. Ginger, who I thought was heading toward retirement, ran all 17 runs and qualified in all but three. She earned her Elite Regular & Elite Chances titles.

Dallas was so calm at times I was afraid he was sick! He qualified 8 out of 17 runs, never placing below 2nd in any run, even the NQ ones. He earned his novice Hoopers title. His top speed in qualifying runs of tunnelers, jumpers and Touch & Go was 11 miles per hour!! No wonder I was gasping when we were done.

All done & said, we came home with 49 ribbons! What a hoot.

Winona Leard and Faith (Border Collie)

**
Faith and I ran Saturday only. Only 2 out of 5 q's but nq's were 2nd places and the q's were first places. The Nq's were handler error. Baby dog Faith was really wired with the cool weather but trying and working very nice. In jumpers, she ran the course in 18 seconds with 6.54 yPs (yards per second). That included a spin. Fastest time of all the dogs, even elite. VERY nice. My baby dog is coming along. Hopefully mom will catch up. :o)

Sandra Fikes and:

Guy (Rhodesian Ridgeback): Q'd, all first places, in Nov Standard 4 times for his NAC title!
Darla (Rhodesian Ridgeback): Q'd in Nov Standard 3 times for her NAC title! Q'd in Nov Jumpers with a first place and5.38 yps - a record run for us! One first place and two second places.

Susan Clement and Summer (Dalmatian) Only entered Saturday but Summer Q's in both Standard 1 and 2 and first place in each! Summer LOVED it!

Roberta Bianchettin and:
Freccia (Border Collie) - Entered Sat only, Q'd in Nov Standard
Bandito (Border Collie) - Saturday only. Bandito first trial and first run evah!!!! Roberta has hurt her knee and can't run, but that didn't stop Bandito from getting his Q. It was a beautiful run and we got it on video:

Ellie + Agility Trials = Wheeeeeeee!!

Heather Dickinson's border collie, Ellie, a Mobile SPCA adoptee, made her agility debut this past weekend. The hi-lite was that she earned her first title, ASCA Novice Jumpers, with 2 clean runs that both clocked in at just a hair over 1/2 of the standard course time! Heather and Ellie are eagerly anticipating their next trials. Running Ellie is definitely going to be a Wild Ride!!

A GREAT DAY TRIALING

On July 26th, I ran Lancer and Ruger at an agility trial in Amherst Junction Wisconsin.  This was Lancer's first time running since the MBDTC Agility Trial sniff fest last March.  He ran a 100 in Novice Standard for a 1st place and his first leg, then he qualified in Novice Jumpers with a 97 for a second place and his first leg..  Ruger botched his first time running in Open Standard but I was pleased that he managed to do great weaves, and he FINALLY managed to get that first Novice Jumpers leg with a 99 and a 1st place.
